We can only accept hardwoods (maple, oak, beech, etc.). 

Softwoods are not accepted because they have much lower heating capacity and can generate creosote and other materials that can build up and create a hazard.  

Yes! We can travel within the local area to pick up wood. The wood must be on the ground and easily accessible. We do not cut down trees, but we can section long logs. We also cannot lift extremely heavy sections and are generally limited to logs between 4 inches and 2 feet in diameter.
